2022 Athletics Carnival

Our annual athletics carnival for 2022 will be held on Tuesday 19th July 2022 at The Fearnley Dawes Athletic Track. The carnival is for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

If your child is in Year 2 this year and turns 8 in 2022, they can choose to participate in the 8 Year 100m race. Please ensure you add this to their permission note. Once they complete their race, they will join the rest of the students in year 2 to continue stage-based activities.

$10.00 per student to cover bus travel to and from the venue and hire of the facility. Payment and permission note due to school by Friday 24th June, 2022.

Students must be at school by 9:00 am for roll marking.

Years 3 - 6 will leave school 9.10 am – arrive at the Sports Centre approx. 9.30 am. The Year 3-6 carnival will conclude by 2.15 pm and the students will return to school.

Kindergarten - Year 2 will leave school at 9.45 am and arrive at the Sports Centre approx. 10.10 am. Their carnival will conclude by 1.00 pm and the students will return to school.

It is expected that ALL students will travel to the venue via buses provided. Students must present at school to have their name marked on the roll. Parents are asked not to transport students directly to the venue.

Students must pack recess, lunch and a water bottle. They are asked to wear their sports uniform, hat, sunscreen and running shoes (no spikes are allowed).

Students are encouraged to wear house colours and bring along signs etc. to support their house.

Please note that all students are required to return to school at the end of their carnival, otherwise a partial absence will be recorded from the time they leave the venue.
