Travel to school
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
Keep our school community safe by:
- driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- being a good role model
- never calling your child from across the road
- using the safest place to cross the road.
For parents and carers of younger children
Discuss with your child how to be safe when:
- walking
- in the car
- waiting for, travelling on, and getting off the bus
- riding bikes, scooters and skateboards.
Also talk about and practise:
- safe travel routes
- plans for when unexpected things happen
- what to do in wet weather.

Parking on School Grounds
The security fencing around our Armstrong Street carpark significantly improves the safety of all students and allows us to leave the carpark gates open throughout the day providing access to the carpark for families, visitors and deliveries.
As a result of these improvements, the Armstrong Street entrance will be unlocked to provide access to our school site during school hours and all gates on our Croudace Street boundary fence will be locked between 9:15am – 3:00pm.
What this means for families wishing to access the site during school hours:
- Students arriving after 9:15am will need to enter through the Armstrong Street carpark gate.
- All gates on Croudace Street fence will be locked between 9:15am and 3:00pm each day
- Parents will be able to enjoy the convenience of utilising the Armstrong Street carpark should you need to come to school for a meeting, to collect your child for an appointment, or if you are volunteering at school.
- Office staff will open the Koala gate at 2:30pm each day to allow access for parents to arrive for school pick up.
Please be mindful that the Armstrong Street carpark gates will be locked each day between 2:55pm – 3:15pm while our Kiss and Drop zone is in operation to facilitate the safety of our students. The safety of our staff and students is our highest priority.
